Suore, novizie e tutto il personale del Sant’Angela Merici Health Centre, si sono riuniti il giorno 27 gennaio 2024 a Kinj’eero, per celebrare la festa di Sant’Angela. L’Eucarestia è stata presieduta da Fr. Paul, responsabile della Parrocchia, il quale, dopo aver presentato la vita della Santa ed esortato a seguirne l’esempio, ha invitato a riflettere sulla preziosità del servizio svolto ai pazienti: “Ogni singola azione può portare conforto e speranza a chi soffre…”. Un auspicio espresso anche con la benedizione alle persone e al Centro, al termine della S. Messa.
ANGELA MERICI FEAST DAY CELEBRATED AT ST. ANGELA MERICI HEALTH CENTRE-NAIROBI KENYA
Angela is often attributed with a cloak and ladder. She is the patron saint of sickness, disabled and physically challenged people, and those grieving the loss of parents. We celebrated her feast day on 27th January 2024.
We celebrated our Patron Saint Feast with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Paul, Father in Charge Holy Eucharist Parish Kingeero. The mass was attended by Sisters, Novices and St. Angela Staffs. The melodious voices from each one of us made the event more colourful for everyone participated fully.
During the mass, Fr. Paul preached about the life of St. Angela Merici, urging each one of us to follow examples of St. Angela Merici. We were encouraged to accompany our patients, give them comfort, hope and walk with them in their journey of healing. We were reminded that each and every action we take in this ministry matters a lot to the healing journey of our patients.
The mass ended with blessings for the team and our Hospital. This is an assurance that the sick who come here will find a physician of body and soul.
After the Holy mass ended we gathered for a photo session with also brought us to the next chapter of refreshments. We all gathered for breakfast which was set with lots of refreshments.
It was a delightful and successful Feast Day. We learnt to put into practice the core values and virtues of St. Angela Merici. Much Thanks to everyone for their active participation towards this special day of our Patron.
We request your prayers as we continue to handle our patients and everyone we meet in this healing ministry so that we may be more kind, gentle and compassionate towards their lives.
